RIP old friend. We had 89,000 miles of good times together. You were one hell of a motorcycle and proved how tough Vulcan motors are.
Damage:
Bent engine guard, modification to right floorboard bracket bent (the welds held again!!), cracked spotlight lens, damaged Nautilus horn (maybe), front fender scuffed, fairing scuffed, fairing mount stud broke off, fairing bracket mangled, tank scuffed (not dented), Pro Tac backrest bracket bent, right saddlebag scuffed, left saddlebag zipper damaged. That's it.
The chassis is very salvageable and whoever buys the bike from the insurance company will get a plethora of good parts: Mean Streak bars, Kury Aiken flame grips with throttle rocker and spike ends (damn near brand new), so-so aftermarket mirrors (they kept coming loose), good tins needing paint, good backrest and luggage rack, a good Mustang passenger seat, a good Mustang riders seat needing recovered, an Adjure headlight with Rainbow Strobe prism installed, Progressive fork springs and Progressive 412's with about 50,000 miles on them, and tons of polished aluminum parts.

That bike needed crushing long before it was crashed mate.
I'm so glad you didn't like the fact that my modifications done over the years were function-based, needs-based vs aesthetics-based. Not everyone can afford to be creative and make it "pretty". Your opinion is appreciated. Just know that in the 12 years I had this bike, it became a member of the family and it's loss not only was hard on me, but I still regret not buying it back and rebuilding it again. It was akin to losing a pet. So, your comment is similar to saying that I should put down my dog because he's ugly. Thank you for your time.
